Through the portrayal of objects, Liangyin WANG explores the growing desire of human beings for ornate surfaces. In the last few years, Liangyin WANG has been experimenting with spatial inversion on the canvas, turning the originally covered substrate into a part of the background. This is a new approach to exploring the essence of painting, which is a constant tugging and pulling with the inner self, instead of the previous strongly narrative expression of painting. Through colors and shapes, the artist draws a painting of self-reflection.
